About Kitten Buddies
"Kitten Buddies" is a comic book done in tribute to my childhood best friends, the adventures we would go on, and the stories we would make up. One such story was dubbed "Kitten Buddies," which was about a family of cats that we would often observe. The lore we came up with was so deep that my friends ended up creating a website to hold it all. Though I believe this website no longer exists, think of this website as something like a replacement.As we've gotten older, we lost track of this story but would still joke about it, now acknowledging that these stories were likely a way to cope with the many things we would go through ourselves as kids. Recently, one of my friends died, a terrific loss for all who knew her. For my capstone, I wanted to create something that she would've loved, and I wanted her to be a part of the process. Since it's based on stories that we all came up with, I thought this would be a fitting project to work on.This project is a culmination of what we dreamed to create when we were young. The story of this comic follows three young girls, Venus, Mars, and Moon, as they make a comic about the Kitten Buddies.

Character Designs
Moon, Mars, and Venus each have their representative colors based on the planets (or moon) they're named after. Moon has the colors silver and blue, Mars has red, and Venus has green. I gave them each friendship bracelets with the other girls' colors. They are also each wearing silly bandz, as a fun call back to the time my friends and I grew up in.
These designs were based on the ones we came up with as kids, but I wanted to refine them and standardize them so that I could draw them more easily. One thing I wanted to show in these designs was that each kitten is supposed to represent one of the girls. Some of the design choices show that, but the main indication is the graphic on their shirts. Roxie has a moon, Tigy has Mars, and Lily has Venus.

Hello, I'm Trinity Sencindiver and I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in Arts, Technology, and Emerging Communications with a concentration in Animation and Games just this last December.While at UT Dallas I learned a lot about 2D and 3D pre-production and production and I would love to put all of that knowledge to good use and work with you on your next project!
